What's ? in 2008-2010

October 10, 2010
I'm back! ;)

I've added pictures for the last 2.5 years. yes, I've been off for quite a while! Some pages continued to be updated, but it took some effort to create proper links to events after august 2008. I've not been able to contine those fine event pages, but each event has a link to either a Photobucket and/or a Facebook site. I also hope to update the bibliography soon.

November 16, 2008
I've added a school visit and more guard duty at the tower.

November 15, 2008
I've added our second day of filming this year, once more at the Eindhoven open air museum, and again for NCRV television, and again about the Batavian uprising!.

Fall 2008
The website has seen many updates, but I've been lagging behind in updating the News page! I've added a review of Stuart Laycock's view on the Romanisation of Britain, and the influence of that on the End of Roman Britain: Britannia - The Failed State: Tribal Conflicts and the End of Roman Britain, The History Press Ltd (2008). I also added new articles about Late Roman armies and unit strength and Late Roman military ranks.
More events (yes, I'm catching up): the
unveiling of modern Roman art in Houten, more guard duty at the local tower, and a visit to the Archaeology Weekend in Lisse.
New in the Bibliography for April to October:

March 30, 2008
The first event of the year was a bit similar to the first one last year: there was a lot of mud! We were invited to come to Eindhoven, to work with Corbvlo for a television series of the NCRV: Kaaskoppen en Waterlanders.
I added two new articles:
The Scholae, the Late Roman version of the Praetorian Guard, and an article about the origins of Late Roman infantry tactics, in: Arrian & the kontos.
Finally the update of the bibliography:
