Our
first group outing of the year, at the invitation of
CORBVLO, was again to the Biblical Open Air Museum in
Nijmegen, just like last year. The Via
Orientalis, a street which is made to look like any
street in any city during the time of Christ, had
undergone some changes, most of which were unfortunately
not finished yet. This time we had our stations in front
of the so-called 'Egyptian House', a building with
paintings taken from an ancient Egyptian temple.

Left to right:
Mante,
Robert, Hanneke, Andreas, Patrick,
Fred, Edo, Evelien, Erik, Wim, Tycho,
Jean, Gerard, Joke, Monty, Jonathan and Noel.
The
weather was OK for re-enacting; sunny spells and rain
showers, with a cold wind. Unfortunately, the weather
forecast had been worse, and the audience stayed away.
Sometimes the street was entirely empty, and the people
that did turn up seemed too shy to participate or ask
questions, totally unlike last year. But that low turnout
did give us the chance to pose for some pictures, and get
a guided tour from Wim around the old buildings and the
new, unfnished, section.
On the whole, a good start of the season.
